Our verdict

The Metalbone is Ale Galán's racket and one of the best-known diamonds in padel. The 2026 model is a head-heavy diamond with a 16K aluminised carbon face and a Soft Performance EVA core, listed at 345–360 g before you add weight. Its standout feature is the Weight & Balance system, which lets you add up to 11.2 g to tune it towards power or manoeuvrability.

It's our best for tuning: ideal if you like to adjust your racket through the season. Like every pro diamond, it punishes off-centre hits and isn't for players still learning.

Best for: attacking players who create their own pace and like to adjust weight and balance.

Avoid if: you don't want to adjust weights, or your technique isn't consistent yet.

We don't print prices or stock: they change daily. Check the model year on the shop's page before you buy.

Questions

How does the Metalbone weight system work?

Weights in the racket let you add up to 11.2 g. More weight at the top adds power on smashes; less makes it quicker at the net.

Is the Adidas Metalbone 2026 good for intermediate players?

Only strong intermediates with good technique. It's a head-heavy diamond with a top sweet spot, so it punishes mishits.

How much does the Metalbone 2026 weigh?

Review databases list 345–360 g before any added weight. Adidas's product page doesn't publish it.

Is the Metalbone hard?

Reviewers describe a medium feel with a firm, direct response. The Soft Performance EVA core softens the stiff 16K carbon a little.
