How the finder works
Which rackets can appear. Only the 19 rackets that meet our recommendation rules: a current or deliberately chosen previous-year model, specs we could check to at least Medium confidence, and at least one working shop link. We never loosen these rules to fill the list, so you may see fewer than three results.
How they're matched. Each answer is a simple check against the racket's level and its published stats (1 to 10). Every check gives one of three results: a fit, a partial fit, or no fit.
| Your answer | Fit | Partial fit | Not shown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level | The racket is made for your level | It's made for the level next to yours | Two levels away |
| Power, Control or Comfort | That stat is 8 or more | 6 or 7 | 5 or less |
| A bit of both | Power and control both 6+, within 2 points | Both 4+, within 4 points | Anything more lopsided |
| Arm or elbow pain: yes | Comfort 8 or more | Comfort 6 or 7 | Comfort 5 or less |
| Price band | Same band | Another band | Another band, if you ticked "only this band" |
A Strong match fits every question you answered. A Possible match has at least one partial fit and no "not shown". "Not sure" and "Any" skip that check, so they never count against a racket. We also never show a racket that our own guides tell you to avoid for your answers (for example, a pro-line racket for a beginner, or a firmer racket if you have arm pain). Results are ordered by: strong matches first, then rackets in your price band, then the most full fits, then the stat you care about most, then comfort (if you have arm pain), then sweet spot, then data confidence. The order never depends on which shops pay us; our tests check that adding an affiliate link can't change it.
Data confidence is shown separately. It says how well we could check the racket's specs, not how good the racket is.
Twins. Some rackets have exactly the same stats. If they're also aimed at the same level and price band, we show one and name the other, rather than pretending one is better. If they differ in level or price, we show both and say their stats match.
Price bands go by the model's list price (the regular price a shop shows, not the sale price): Budget under about €150, Mid about €150 to €299, Premium about €300 and up. We store the list price and where we found it for every racket in the finder. They aren't live prices: shops and countries vary, and most rackets sell below list, so check the price on the day you buy.
Stats come from one formula applied to shape, balance, core feel, weight and face material. A one-point gap is within the method's margin. Full method.
