The short answer
Both are round 2026 Babolat rackets built for control, with the same Black EVA core and a 100% carbon frame. The difference is the face and the weight. The Counter Vertuo has a fibreglass face, a medium-soft feel and weighs 340–360 g, so it's gentler on the arm and quicker to swing. The Counter Veron has a Carbon Flex face, a medium feel and weighs 355–375 g, so it gives a little more pop and stability once your swing is consistent.
First racket, or a sore arm: the Counter Vertuo. Playing weekly and wanting more from the back of the court: the Counter Veron.

Which one should you buy?
Choose the Counter Veron if
- You play at least weekly and your swing is consistent.
- You want more ball speed from the back without moving to a teardrop or diamond.
- You like a slightly firmer, more direct feel.
- You're comfortable with a racket of 355–375 g.
Good
- Easy to swing, forgiving
- Carbon face gives more pop than beginner fibreglass
Less good
- Pricey for a round racket
Avoid if: you want maximum smash power: it's built for control.
Choose the Counter Vertuo if
- It's your first or second racket.
- You want the lightest, quickest racket of the two (340–360 g).
- You have elbow or wrist sensitivity and want a softer feel.
- You mostly defend and keep the ball in play.
Good
- Light and quick at the net
- Gentle on elbow and wrist
- Grows with you into intermediate play
Less good
- Costs more than a first racket needs to
Avoid if: you only play now and then on a tight budget: a cheaper beginner frame does the job.

Questions
Which is better for beginners, the Counter Vertuo or the Counter Veron?
The Counter Vertuo. It's lighter, has a fibreglass face and a medium-soft feel, so it's more forgiving while you learn. The Counter Veron suits players who already hit the ball cleanly.
Is the Counter Veron more powerful than the Counter Vertuo?
A little. Its carbon face and extra weight give more pop on full swings, but both are round control rackets, so neither is built for big smashes.
Do they share the same core?
Yes. Both 2026 models list a Black EVA core and a 100% carbon frame; the face material and weight are what differ.
